Getting Started with CSCI 151

Welcome to CSCI 151! You’ve found the lab website for all CSCI 151 sections. As you can see in the left-hand menu, this website will contain the labs assignments for each week of the course. Let’s not worry about all of that stuff just yet. This pre-lab is about getting yourself ready to start coding in Java. In the process, you will also get a feel for our lab website. So, let’s get started!

At the beginning of each lab, you will find a Goals box that explains what you should do/take away from each lab. Here are the goals for this pre-lab:

  • Familiarize yourself with our community guidelines
  • Create an account on Github
  • Submit your Github username to your instructor using this Google Form
  • Complete the “Getting to Know You” Questionnaire (find the link on your sections Blackboard site)
